Summer Term - week 7

Hello everyone,

Two very different listening suggestions for you this week. The first is by the wonderful King’s Singers (from King’s College Cambridge, not The King’s School Canterbury – though perhaps next week I’ll treat you to a performance from our King’s Men close harmony group), singing Billy Joel’s poignant song And So It Goes, together with hundreds of other backing singers. This is one of the many virtual choir performances you may have seen.

And secondly, take a look at this amazing 11-year-old violinist Chloe. She plays “Summer” (appropriate for this weather!) from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons (listen from 5’50”) following a modern piece and some great tuning up!

And finally, for something completely different, a lovely quiz on Friendship made by one of our pupils, Emily – attached here as a PowerPoint. Simply open it, select Play Slideshow and the answers will come up after each question.

See you next week! In the meantime, keep playing and listening.

Best wishes,
